UV-C ventilation disinfection in air handling systems

The indoor air poses a high risk of infection.

In buildings where air-conditioning and ventilation systems are installed, pathogens can spread throughout the building via air ducts. To prevent this, the interiors of ventilation systems can be specifically equipped with UV-C lamps. The room air is disinfected by UV-C light as it passes through the ducts. The exiting air is then disinfected by up to 99.9 %.

Air-conditioned rooms are no longer just an issue in hot countries in southern Europe; air-conditioning systems are also being used more and more in central Europe.

In the height of summer, cooled rooms feel wonderful, but then come the side effects during flu periods.

Ventilation systems provide optimal living conditions for microorganisms. The branched duct systems also distribute them over large areas, which can lead to increased employee absenteeism during flu periods.

Because of this germ problem in ventilation ducts, Dinies Technologies has developed a ventilation disinfection module that can be easily installed in an existing duct system.

The plug-and-play UV disinfection units are available in different dimensions, suitable for different air flows.

The built-in monitoring unit continuously checks the air flow and adjusts the lamp power if necessary. Energy consumption can thus be reduced considerably.
